English Language Challenges

In my first career I had to take two English courses (English I and English II) and it was very good because I had just left school then I had not lost the practice. In the UdeC a native of the USA teaches us English and at the same time we helped him with his Spanish, it was a very entertaining learning process I really enjoyed the experience of writing in a blog because since I entered this shop I just wrote things for the academy. In journalism we only write news, reports, research, etc. With themes that teachers sometimes choose. That's why I liked to take a blog to talk about other topics, practice the language (I did not do it from school) and share reflections with my classmates from journalism and  Cine I feel that my writing skills have improved a lot, because I usually only read English but writing is something I did not do long ago. Changing the Study Programme

In 2016 I left my home in the south to come to Santiago to study Journalism and in the first week of classes we were told there was a new curriculum and it was really a big change! I spoke with many friends who studied with the previous curriculum and now the university consumes a lot of time, it is not more difficult but the most "demanding" assignments are in the same semester I believe that the new curriculum is attractive and very comprehensive for our discipline, however, it is ambitious and as implemented with our generation we are the "test subjects" of all the stress and adjustments that this change has entailed, both for the students as for the professors of the ICEI Now we have more subjects about specific things like History of Chile or Economy and I  think that's one of the best things to be good journalists. Summer Holidays

This has been a very long and difficult year in college, but I'm happy because we can have vacations in December. I am from Santiago, I am from Chillán so my first plan is to travel to my house to rest and see my family. Being in my home, I think I will be reading a lot of time, ride a bicycle and spending time with my friends in the neighborhood.  After that, I will go on a trip with my family to some place we have previously agreed upon. We have the rule that it must always be a new place, never something repeated so I have known many parts of Chile and thanks to my parents for that. On this holiday we would like to visit Punta Arenas because knowing the southern end is a dream for us. Some time ago, one of my best friends went to live in that city, so I am very excited to visit and know the city and all the landscapes of Patagonia. The Strangest Dream

When I was little I had the strangest dream I remembered, it was giant mice with fighting swords. very close to my house then the mice were the strangest thing but I knew the place. that was very weird. At that time I was a girl so I thought it was a nightmare, but now I remember it as something funny  I am currently dreaming of things like the university, going to the mall, ride a bike or spending time with friends, then I wake up confused because it is difficult for me to differentiate whether I dreamed or not. I think that dreaming about common things is worse than dreaming about strange things because sometimes I feel like Black Mirror or something like that. My last strange dream was a few days ago. in that dream I was talking through whatsapp with my older brother and telling him a secret. Post-Graduate Studies

When I leave the Institute, I would really like to take a postgraduate degree related to the area of sociology but without leaving communication (like a science) because I believe that area can make changes in journalism. Studying sociology and relating it to communication is a challenge because until now there is very little research and I would like to be a teacher in an area like that, because I believe that the theoretical must be applied. I would like to study in Latin America because I do not like much that science produces only in Europe or the United States. I like the idea of studying another country because I have lived in many cities so the change siemre is good for me, so a part-time course seems to me something really attractive. But always thinking about returning to Chile and help make changes.

My Future Job

I studied Sociology at the Universidad de Concepción in 2015 so, it's hard for me to think about an ideal job because I am interested in many subjects and for that reason I like Journalism, because it is a very varied profession, we can stay in TV, in radio, in a newspaper or in an office. Santiago is not my city so, I think is better for me a job indoors.  It's not uncomfortable for me to work in an office I prefer that over having to be from one side to another all day but, I think is really fun to be in the place where things happen. I would like to travel to prepare myself better and maybe teach at the ICEI because I believe that teaching and training new journalists helps make real changes, if perhaps slower. I am studying Journalism because I have contact with people and I really believe in the power of information and that this can reach all people is a great job, although not as much as being a teacher (like my mom). Kill Bill

This movie is probably one of my favorite of all time, and the second one is even better. I love Kill Bill because the protagonist, Beatrix Kiddo “Black Mamba” is a fierce, independent and strong woman who decides to take revenge against Bill, a very mysterious man. Kill Bill Vol 2. is the immediate continuation of the Vol. 1 . B oth films were written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and two of them have an excellent cast, like Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu, David Carradine and Daryl Hannah My favorite movie ending is Kill Bill because the story concludes in an interesting way like the previous two movies and the ending  gives the name at the movie.
